We’ve traversed all throughout this great city and hand picked some of the best rooftop bars in Philadelphia. Trust us when we say it wasn’t an easy job, and it resulted in a lot of late nights and work absences, but we did it for you!

Assembly Rooftop Lounge
Great food, check. Great atmosphere, check. Great views, check. Great drink menu, check. Great service, check.
Assembly has it all. It’s the unique and unobstructed view of the Philadelphia skyline you want with great drinks and amazing bites to eat. They even heat the rooftop in the winter time, so don’t be discouraged in the early months of the year.
One note, in order to make a reservation you will need to place a deposit.

The Deck Philly
The Deck may be the rooftop bar in Philadelphia with the best aesthetic. Situated on a ship on the water, The Deck gives visitors the unique advantage of dining at sea, with some amazing panoramic views of Philadelphia.
Definitely one of the busiest restaurants on the list, we highly recommend making a reservation before coming here as the lines can get pretty long, but once you are in you will understand why. Sunset is the best time to be here, but it’s beautiful at night as well.

Standard Tap
Standard Tap, located just a bit north of Old City is one of the most casual rooftops to make it to the list. They host a great selection of beers and a pretty great menu with a lot of unique options (they even serve Elk).
Standard Tap has its own building and has many floors to choose from. It’s unpretentious and welcoming for everyone. Great food and great drinks make this place a no-brainer as long as your looking for a rooftop without some world class view.

City Tap House University City
Nestled near the University of Pennsylvania, City Tap House is a great place to grab a drink after a long day at the museums. Its proximity to the Penn Museum puts this tap house on our list because anyone visiting needs to have a good drink afterwards. City Tap House is also famous for its college crowd, so keep it in mind when visiting.
We recommend skipping the food here and opting for drinks only. Its distance from the city center means you won’t see as many skyscrapers here, but the huge amount of seating space and picnic benches really give it a good vibe if you want to hang around for a bit and have some beers.

Irwins
Irwins is a relatively low key restaurant offering world class food. If there was a restaurant with a Michelin star in Philadelphia, this place would have it.
The unassuming exterior pushes you through a high school locker setting to get to the restaurant, but once you get there the views will blow you away. Situated in South Philly, you have an uncompromised view of the entire skyline.
This place is known for it’s quality food so be sure to come hungry and enjoy some of the best food Philly has to offer.

Revolution House
Revolution house embodies historic Philadelphia in a way that no other bar on the list quite does. For that it makes the list, and for their food. In terms of a view, there’s nothing too crazy here, but the atmosphere is great. You’re situated in the heart of Old City, so if you are visiting Philadelphia you are bound to find yourself near here at some point.
If you’re searching for the best views, this may not be the place for you. But if you want good food, good drinks, some fresh air and are near Old City, Revolution House has you covered.

XIX (Nineteen) Restaurant
If you are looking for ultra luxury with exceptional service, Nineteen is your restaurant. Located inside of the Hyatt, this place embodies the white tablecloths and high end service.
The food is mediocre for the price being paid, and the prices are in general very high. But at a place like this, you are paying for the view, and the view is spectacular.
XIX is a great place for a very special night. It’s not great for a casual cocktail at happy hour. Dress to impress.
